Rapha Manchester to London Challenge 2016
So, here I am. 89 days until I roll my bike over to the National Cycling Cente in Manchester at dawn and make my way all the way down the spine of England, via the Peak District and plenty of other less-than-flat areas, to the Lee Valley VeloPark in London. The total distance of this voyage is 350 kilometres or 220 miles. That's approximately double what I've ever done on a bike before, so why am I planning to put myself through this?
For charity, that's why. In particular, for a little UK charity called Ambitious About Autism, who are one rather close to the heart of Rapha founder and CEO Simon Mottram, whose young son suffers with autism. They do great work for people who live with real difficulties every day - difficulties which put a long bike ride into perspective, somewhat.
I hope my suffering on two wheels will inspire you to donate to this worthy cause. You can do so here or by clicking the big red DONATE button on the right:

I'm already £60 of the way to my target of £750, but there's still a long way to go, so please give generously!
This blog will serve to document my training and fundraising efforts leading up to (and most likely following) the big day. I'm glad to have you all along for the ride. Thank you!
